How to test your boost sensor

In this quick one take we show you how you can test your electronic boost sensor using a hand pump and calibration gauge.

These sensors are used on our new Muscle Digital Series and our Trax Digital/Analogue and Trax Dual Digital gauges. We suggest you perform this test if your boost readout is either erratic (needle or digital readout "bounce") or you are not getting any reading at all. You should also test for vacuum leaks (perished or failing hose), water ingress or possible cracks/leaks on your manifold fittings/adaptors.

For vacuum leak detection, a simple detergent based solution sprayed around boost/vac lines will bubble under pressure indicating a possible leak.

Feel free to contact us if you require any further assistance.
